i Want Great Care
An excellent doctor who knows what he’s talking about - an expert in his field. Very confident and very busy. I imagine he is extremely thorough and very prepared. From Chronic Pain to Double Gold in Thailand
My knees were a constant source of pain for years. As someone who has been sporty my entire life, it was devastating to be told by a previous doctor that I should simply "stop doing sports". Hyaluronic acid injections eventually stopped working, and I found myself in a dark place; I couldn’t run, walking was a struggle, and stairs were agonizing.
Everything changed when I met Mr. Majid Chowdhry. From our first appointment, his professionalism was clear. He recommended a full knee replacement. He was honest that results aren't guaranteed, and his clear, empathetic explanation gave me the confidence to move forward.
The recovery was a challenge - especially those first six weeks - but Mr. Chowdhry’s surgical work was brilliant. My physiotherapist was delighted with my progress, after an initial slow start, and soon I had full movement with only a minor scar.
Today, my knee feels perfect. Just eight weeks after my surgery in June 2025, I was back on the pickleball court. By January 2026, I won two gold medals in Thailand with zero pain. Mr Chowdhry hasn’t just fixed my knee; he has truly given me my life back.

From initial diagnosis following X-ray to the operation itself, Mr Chowdhry gave clear information on the procedure for a total hip replacement outlining the potential risks against the outcome of a successful operation. Mr Chowdhry gave me a new knee 3 months ago at Nuffield Haywards Heath hospital. Had problems with leg which he followed up every day. I then had medical problems which necessitated being transfered to the Princess Royal and again he visited me there. On my return he even saw me at 10 at night. After discharge I had problems and Mr Chowdhry then saw me every week while necessary. His care went above and beyond and I felt very safe.

My experience with Mr Chowdhry was excellent – as a sportsperson, he recognised my desire to get back to sports as soon as possible and his treatment and care was exemplary. Dr Chowdhry was a breath of fresh air to work with after a number of years of not feeling heard by medical professionals. My knee injury was causing me significant discomfort for almost a decade, and from the first appointment, it was clear to me that he was willing to listen to my concerns and ensure the appropriate care was given to give me my life back. The process leading up to surgery was seamless and everything was explained clearly so I could make an informed choice. This was really important to me as someone who suffers with Complex-PTSD and I cannot fault any part of the process. Post surgery, I am getting stronger day by day and feel supported if I have any questions or concerns. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Dr Chowdhry enough and encourage anyone considering seeking treatment to go ahead. You will be looked after!

Mr Chowdhry is pleasant and friendly. He understood how painful walking had become and how it affected my life. He explained what he proposed to do and how valuable his robotic arm is in ensuring that the prosthesis is accurately positioned. Following surgery, he came to see me to ensure that all was well and prior to discharge he showed me the X-ray of my new hip and he seemed genuinely interested to know how I felt about my progress. The surgery has improved my life beyond belief. Mr Chowdhry has sprinkled a little bit of magic!

Mr Chowdhry Is very professional and attentive, from the very first consultation throughout the whole hip replacement process. His kind manner gives a sense of assurance and he instantly puts you at ease. I am very pleased with my new hip and i dont think it could have gone much better.

Mr Chowdhry is not only an excellent very experienced surgeon of the highest standard, but pleasant and personable as well. He really knows his patient and how he can help them. I couldn’t be more happy with the care I received from him, his team and the hospital staff – and outcome of the hip replacement surgery. He did a brilliant job, I recovered much quicker than I expected to and am now fully active mobile pain free for the first time in 4 years.

Throughout the whole process Mr Chowdry was first class from my first consultation through to my last, particularly my pre op when a little doubt had crept into my mind as to whether I wanted to continue with the surgery or not.
